Fans want Sankranthi heroes to follow Manchu Vishnu's playbook

The coming Sankranthi is going to witness a stiff race for eyeballs. Since two big-hero movies (read The Raja Saab and Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu) are going to come out in a span of three days, it is going to be a free for all for motivated reviewers on YouTube. It's also likely that other movies like Bhartha Mayashayulaki Wignyapthi are going to face the wrath of these reviewers.

This year, when Kannappa was released, YouTube reviews and memers were not over-critical. In an interview, producer S Naga Vamsi pointed out that Manchu Vishnu had done something right to ensure that YouTubers and memers were "too scared" to even utter the name of the film. "I don't know what he did, but he did something that we don't know about. In the first two days of Kannappa's release, reviews were not extreme. The opinions expressed in them were filtered," Naga Vamsi said.

The fans of Prabhas and Megastar Chiranjeevi want the Vishnu playback to be adopted by their favourite heroes. This wish is naive, though. Vishnu had sat down with lawyers and laid down an extensive groundwork for months. As someone who was trolled severely during his father's Son of India, he did everything to silence the YouTubers community. Allegedly, he threatened them with defamation suits and indiscriminate copyright strikes. A prominent YouTuber has been defending his case at the Delhi High Court.
