Patang stars Instagram fame Preethi Pagdala, Pranav Kaushik, and Vamsi Pujit in lead roles. Singer and actor SP Charan is going to be seen in a pivotal role in this film along with a few new actors. Director Praneeth Prattipati taps into the youthful and cosmopolitan vibes of Hyderabad in the film. Ahead of the movie's theatrical release on December 25, a trailer was released recently. Since it has received a thorough response, the makers are elated.
Actor Vamsi Pujith said that the kite-flying scenes in the movie will be of international standards. A grand competition involving kite-flyers takes place as an integral element. Preethi said that the trailer has worked like magic. She added that so many people have been talking about it ever since its release.
Actor Pranav Kaushik said that the film had been a tough and emotional journey for all of them. While he mentioned that everything in his career had initially felt happy and smooth, he later realized that it was not that easy. Pranav explained that making a kite-themed sports drama was not easy at all and stated that when the audience watched the film, they would see how much effort the director and producers had put in. He concluded by highlighting that even those who had initially criticized the trailer were then praising it.
Producer Vijay Shekhar Anne said that Patang is going to be a roller-coaster ride offering a thrilling journey. Producer Suresh Kothinti said that they had made a quality film. "This is a youthful entertainer," he added. Producer Ramya said, "Everyone is saying this film is perfect for the festive mood. This film faced all the usual challenges that small films do."
Producer Sampath Maka added that they had believed in the content and had made the film. He noted that the industry was highly competitive at that time, but expressed confidence that their film would stand out as one of the successful releases of the year.
Anu Hassan, Vadlamani Srinivas, MAD fame Vishnu Oi, and Amrutham fame Sivanarayana are playing different roles. With cinematography by Shakthi Aravind, the film has Naani Bandreddi as the creative producer.
