Kingdom Trailer: Fire, fury and mythic heroism

"It's a tale forged in rage, driven by emotion and a story where one man fights for his destiny," the makers of Kingdom said, dropping their film's riveting Trailer. Vijay Deverakonda plays Suri, an unsuspecting underdog who embarks on an espionage mission but who ends up reconnecting with his long-lost brother Siva (Satyadev). He is destined to become a leader.

Suri is tasked with accomplishing a covert operation fraught with life-threatening risks. As the stakes run high in Sri Lanka, he encounters an internally divided (seemingly) gang, and a tribe that seems to be fighting for is survival. The undercover spy, who talks less and observes more, is well-trained to see things with a rational mind and a sharp eye. Until, of course, he crosses paths with his sibling, which is when he turns emotional.

"We built Kingdom with fire in our hearts. Today, I give you the trailer. Let it hit you like it hit me," Vijay wrote on X. The sets (Avinash Kolla is the production designer) and the action choreography (by Yannick Ben, Chethan D’Souza & Real Satish) lend a larger-than-life, even a Prashanth Neel-esque quality.

Anirudh Ravichander is the music director. Kingdom will head to theatres on July 31st.
