Sitaare Zameen Par is the title of Aamir Khan's upcoming theatrical release. Currently showing in theatres, the film has received mixed reviews. While some critics are okay with its flaws, Netizens have been unforgiving since morning.
The Hindu found the movie quite irritating. "An ideal Aamir Khan film can be both entertaining and edifying. Despite its good intentions, Sitaare Zameen Par is just annoying," the newspaper stated.
Rediff wrote, "Wish there was more to this feel-good exercise that never reaches the dramatic heights it is aiming for. The film goes for easy sentimentality where the button-pushing is consistent, but the emotional pay-off is far less impactful than expected despite having its big, gooey heart in the right place."
NDTV wrote, "There is nothing new in here in terms of story. The lack of originality does not however take anything away from the incredible performances of the ten first-time actors. In its celebration of diversity and inclusion, Sitaare Zameen Par goes further than any Indian movie ever has."
Hollywood Reporter India stated that the scenes are not only lazy but also predictable.
Sitaare Zameen Par also features Genelia D’Souza, Gurpal Singh, Gopi Krishna Varma, Aroush Dutta, Vedant Sharma, Naman Mishra, Rishabh Jain, Rishi Sahani, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Ayush Bhansali, Simran Mangeshkar, Dolly Ahluwalia, and Brijendra Kala. It is directed by RS Prasanna.
