Sree Vishnu's biggest edge is his contemporaries vacating his space

Single has been declared a box-office hit. Released in theatres on May 9, the rom-com is the biggest money-spinner this Summer after Nani's HIT 3.

Sree Vishnu, after a relatively dull 2024, has made a strong comeback this year. While his filmography has been uneven in terms of favourable commercial outcomes, he is among the most reliable heroes among the smaller ones in Tollywood. Sree Vishnu's biggest claim to fame remains Samajavaragamana. Single this year cements his position further.

Many of Sree Vishnu's contemporaries haven't been lucking out with comedies. In fact, they have not been doing comedies. Varun Tej and Sharwanand have mostly taken on serious or semi-serious roles in recent years. Someone like Nithiin has been struggling to regain his Bheeshma-bestowed image; the failure of Robinhood has only flattened his planned rise. Sai Dharam Tej has slowed down considerably in recent years; with films like Virupaksha and Sambarala Yeti Gattu, the mega family hero has been charting a different path. Nani is comfortable with serious movies, thanks to hits like Dasara and HIT 3. In this scenario, Sree Vishnu has lately been going great guns by doing entertainers.
