Sandeep Vanga's sensational post was not worded well; Here is why

After Sandeep Reddy Vanga accused Deepika Padukone's PR team of outing the "story" of Prabhas' Spirit after she was removed from the project, a section of movie buffs have been calling out the director's writing abilities. A common theme of their anti-Vanga posts is that his films hardly have any stories in them. "What do they have other than cussing, a toxic male lead, and domestic abuse?" As a comment under the tweet reads, "Your craft and filmmaking are simply pushing a derogatory narrative towards women."

Vanga's sensational social media post has been seen as needlessly combative and confrontational. He should have measured his words. Instead of writing "ousting my story", he could have deployed balanced language. He could have used a more suitable phrase like "revealing the nature of some scenes".

In his defence, it could be stated that Sandeep Reddy Vanga was trying to avert a bigger leak in the future. He might have feared that one or more "exclusives" might emerge in Bollywood media on the pretext of "source-based news".

Spirit, starring Prabhas and Tripti Dimri in the lead, will commence its shoot in August or so. Its release date is yet to be finalized.
