Many feel that Nivetha's views are ignorant of the lived realities of commoners. "People living in big gated communities or bungalows with security, or those driving around in comfortable cars, never truly understand the pain of someone without these privileges. Those who commute on two-wheelers face strays head-on and often fall; some are lucky to escape, provided there isn’t a lorry or another vehicle right behind them," wrote Deepak K Viswanathan.
On the personal front, Nivetha Pethuraj is set to marry a businessman named Rajhith Ibran. "The wedding will be a private affair with close family and friends in attendance. Fans and well-wishers are already sending their love and blessings to the couple," a source was quoted saying in August.
