Quentin Tarantino has announced the release of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair in theaters on December 5. “I wrote and directed it as one movie. I am so glad to give the fans the chance to see it as one movie. The best way to see it is at a movie theater in Glorious 70mm or 35mm. Blood and guts on a big screen in all its glory," he has been quoted as saying.
So, what is Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair about? It is the director's cut of the epic martial arts film, combining Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Kill Bill: Vol. 2 into a single, cohesive whole. It will be four hours long.
As per Variety, the film will include a never-before-seen 7-minute animated sequence. "While it has had a very limited release, primarily at film festivals and special screenings, The Whole Bloody Affair offers fans a unique opportunity to witness Tarantino's complete vision, showcasing the film's full chronological sweep, heightened violence, and meticulously crafted tribute to Shaw Brothers kung fu and spaghetti westerns as one seamless, blood-soaked saga," The Hollywood Reporter wrote.
