I prefer to do traditional roles only - Isha Chawla

Isha Chawla began her career with a successful film ‘Prema Kavali’, got her breakthrough with her ‘Poola Rangadu’ and became quite notable with her role opposite Balakrishna in recently released ‘Srimannarayana’ directed by Ravikumar Chavali and produced by Ramesh Puppala. On this occasion, Isha thanks RR Movie Makers for her third consecutive success on the banner and expressed her joy. Some excerpts:

Isha Chawla started her interview like this: I started my career under RR Movie Makers banner. Today I’m very happy to say that I achieved hattrick under the same banner with three consecutive hits.  The success of 'Srimannarayana' has increased my reputation.

About her shooting experience with Balakrishna she said: I consider myself lucky to get opportunity to work alongside Balakrishna garu.  I’m very happy to have worked with him which was a great experience.  Balakrishna garu is a hard worker.  He was very supportive on the sets. He rendered his full cooperation in every scene and dance that we shot together. It was a good learning experience for me. All my dialogues are my favourite, especially the dialogue which I keep saying ‘Bava’.  I tried to dub for my role in ‘Srimannarayana’, but it didn’t work.  So my director opted for a suitable dubbing artist.

About director and producer she opined: Ravikumar Chavali is a great movie maker.  He is a dedicated and hard working person. It’s very comfortable to work with him.  Producer Ramesh Puppala was like a backbone to the film.  His production values are very rich. He would take care of everyone on the sets.

When asked if she is ready for exposing she replied: I prefer to do traditional kind roles than glamour oriented ones.  I don’t believe in skin show.  Even if I’m offered one such role, I’ll not have second thought to leave it.  If the subject is good, being part of that film is important for me, no matter how many heroines are there in that film.

Her reaction to audience's comments:  I enjoyed the movie watching in theater sitting amidst the audience.  I felt very happy to hear people say that I’ve a good future. My family and friends appreciated my work in ‘Srimannarayana’ too. All the characters that I did so far are good. I would also like to do a negative role provided I get a chance.

About her future projects: Right now I’m shooting for the Telugu remake of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ opposite Sunil.  The film is in final stage of shooting.  It will be completed in another two months.  I’m also doing a Kannada film titled ‘Viraat’ opposite Darshan. This apart, I’ve been offered two big films opposite young heroes in Telugu.  The discussions are currently going on.  So I’ll let you know the details after confirmation.

She concluded saying, “I’ll always be grateful to RR Movie Makers, my directors and producers who gave me this wonderful platform to exhibit my talent.”
