'Kota Bommali PS', which has been awarded U/A by the CBFC, is going to head to the theatres on November 24. Bankrolled by Bunny Vass and Vidya Koppineedi on GA2 Pictures, the film is a Teja Marni directorial. Rahul Vijay, who plays Srikanth's junior in the police department in this political survival thriller, says that the film is absolutely fast-paced and steadfastly thrilling, especially in its final leg running into thirty minutes. Catch him reveal more about the film and also his career.

When someone called me saying Geetha Arts wants to cast me in their film, I thought it was a prank or a scam. I couldn't believe it. Once I met the director, I got to know that this is an adaptation of the Malayalam film 'Nayattu'. I didn't feel like watching 'Nayattu' because I didn't want to get influenced in any manner. My father (stunt master Vijay) was elated upon learning that I bagged a Geetha Arts project.

'Kota Bommali PS' presented me with a solid opportunity to associate myself with a committed team. Teja Marni is a talented filmmaker whose instructions imbibe acting lessons. I previously did the web series 'Kudi Yedamaithe' for Aha Video. Since then, this film has offered me the best learning curve. Both projects were like acting workshops. Collaborating with rare talents gives an artist an insight into multiple approaches and dialogue modulations.

As the film's title makes it clear, the story is set in a village named Kota Bommali in Srikakulam. Ramakrishna (Srikanth), Ravi (myself) and Kumari (Shivani Rajasekhar) end up in a web. The roller-coaster ride is fast-paced.

Playing a constable has been a learning experience. The body language of different individuals in various hierarchies is different in the police department.

Allu Aravind garu has watched the final copy. He is very happy with the output, I am told. The last half-an-hour part sends the audience into a trance. Pulling off those scenes was mentally draining. In some scenes, I acted without using glycerine. While dubbing for my part, I was so delighted looking at the output.

I got to work with Srikanth garu from close quarters. We discussed the scenes and our approaches before the shoot. He is a sweetheart.

The background score is something everyone is going to talk about. The soundscape of the thriller is a key asset. The subject is somewhat relevant in current times when the election fever has gripped the public. Besides, you can expect a strong emotional arc.

The song 'Lingi Lingi Lingidi' has carved an identity for the movie itself. After the movie's release. I am confident that this project will prove to be a major leap for me.

After this project came my way, I bagged a show produced by Arka Media Works (of 'Panjaa' and the 'Baahubali' movies fame). It will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar. After the release of 'Kota Bommali PS', I am hopeful of landing bigger projects.

I am inspired by actors like Vijay Sethupathi garu, who is versatile. An actor lasts longer. The limits are boundless, especially in the era of OTT. There is no hard and fast rule that I have to do only lead roles.
