HYDERABAD: Sanskruti Shikhara Sanchalit Amrit Varsha Kapadia Center for Physiotherapy & Yoga at Begumpet was inaugurated on Wednesday by Dr. Jayesh Shah, consultant physician, diabetologist.
The management of the new center says that it will provide physiotherapy services at an affordable cost to all those who can't afford to pay the prevailing market prices.
The chief guest, addressing a 100-plus crowd, said 95 percent of women and 60 percent of men are currently suffering from joint pains.
"Long-term use of pain killers isn't healthy. Therefore we need to get physiotherapy," he said. The Trust's Dr. Kumudben Dharia noted, "Every part of the body must work in tandem.
Otherwise, a problem will come up. Actually working together does work. So many people need physiotherapy. But many don't get the services. Many can not afford to reap its advantages. That's why we start the center, "she said.
"People are using more mind today and less physical effort to do their job. This is what causes illnesses in the lifestyle. Therefore you have to get into Yoga," Yoga expert Ravindra Kapadia said.
The new center, run by philanthropists on funds, provides services per session for Rs 200, nearly half the rates elsewhere, the head of the center informed.
