Story
The film starts with Pawan Kalyan's voice over about the freedom struggle and he introduces Jhansi Laxmi Bai's character. Jhansi Laxmi Bai (Anushka) tells the story of how Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy (Chiranjeevi) had led the first revolt against the British to her soldiers.  Narasimha Reddy, who is declared dead after birth gets revived miraculously. He gets adopted by his grandfather and as a child, he gets agitated seeing people hanged by Britishers for going against them and wants to kill them. His Guru Gosayi Venkanna (Amitabh Bachchan) guides him and tells him that war is all about winning, but not about killing or getting killed. He decides to unite the 61 Palegars of Seema region to fight against the British, who were imposing high taxes despite the drought in the region. Avuku Raju (Sudeep), Veera Reddy (Jagapathi Babu) are among them. But uniting all the Palegars is not easy task for Narasimha Reddy as many of them don't like the idea of going against Britishers. He decides to not pay the heavy tax imposed by the Britishers and a fight ensues. After a gruesome incident, all the Palegars get united. They decide to revolt together and forms a huge army. But it's where the actual story starts. Narasimha Reddy had to deal with internal fights, backstabbings from his own family members and betrayals. Meanwhile, Lakshmi (Tamannaah) falls for Narasimha Reddy impressed by his valour and skills. But why he marries Siddhamma (Nayanthara) instead ? How a Tamilian Raja Pandi (Vijay Sethupathi) joins Narasimha Reddy in this first major revolt against the British ? What are the betrayals, back stabbings Narasimha Reddy had to deal with ? How Narasimha Reddy inspired future freedom fighters ? Watch the film for more.

Analysis
Paruchuri Brothers' dream to tell the story of the first freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy has finally come true and it did in a splendid way. Surender Reddy has proved the critics wrong with his great story telling skills. The way he has shot some scenes will be a treat for audiences. Great visuals complemented by perfect background score and superb performances make the movie a masterpiece. The director has taken some cinematic liberties though. As he takes time to get into the actual story, the first half seems a little bit dragged. But then after, starting from the pre-interval episode, the movie gets into a whole new level. The second half is excellent. The film will remain as a memorable one in the illustrious career of Megastar Chiranjeevi. It's a great tribute to Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the forgotten hero. Don't miss it.
