'Iddari Lokam Okate', starring Raj Tarun and Shalini Pandey' has hit the theaters today. Presented by Dil Raju, it's a remake of Turkish movie, 'Love Likes Coincidences'. Has the movie retained the soul of the original? How is the film? Read our review.
Due to an accident, Mahi (Raj Tarun) and Varsha (Shalini Pandey) were born on the same day. An accident when they were 8 year old brings them closer. But destiny separates them and brings them together again after 18 years. By now Varsha is an aspiring actress, who is frustrated by the rejections at auditions and Mahi is a photographer. They thank their stars for all the coincidences that brought them together. When everything seems to be alright, a health issue to one of them makes things worse.
Raj Tarun has given a subdued performance, which is in stark contrast to his previous films. Shalini Pandey is lovely. She performs exceptionally well and scores brownie points for her acting. Most of the film revolves around these two characters. Nassar, Bharat, Rohini and other actors are good.
Mickey J Meyer has given a decent score. The songs don't obstruct the flow of the film. The visuals are beautiful. The production values are rich.

'Iddari Lokam Okate' is inspired by Turkish film 'Love Likes Coincidences'. The film is all about the coincidences in the life of a couple, who were born on the same day, meets 'accidentally' again and again in different stages of their life. The subject has the potential to become a memorable love story. But the love scenes between the couple should have been conceived well so as to root for them in the climax. Technically, the film is good. All in all, 'Iddari Lokam Okate' will appeal for audiences who love slow paced romantic entertainers.
