Charmi Kaur was brought into the world on May 17, 1987 is an Indian on-screen actress and producer known primarily for her works in Telugu cinema, as well as a few Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Bollywood movies.
Charmi has acted in over 40 films and her most notable works include; box office hits such as (2004) Mass, (2005) Anukokunda Oka Roju, (2006) Lakshmi and Pournami (2006), for which she received positive reviews as a Kuchipudi dancer.
Her next feature, Rakhi (2006), was also a mega hit. She then appeared in movies including Mantra (2007), for which she won the State Nandi award, the following years she appeared in (2009) Manorama, Kavya's Diary (2009), and Mangala (2011), for which she bagged another State Nandi Special Jury Award, thus establishing herself as one of Telugu 's leading actresses. She appeared on Bollywood hit Bbuddah in 2011, which is Hoga Terra Baap, with Amitabh Bachchan.
Charmi was born and raised in Mumbai and her family is Punjabi-Sikh. She finished her schooling at Carmelite Convent in Vasai English High School . Her hobbies are dancing and swimming.
She started her acting debut in 2002 in Nee Thodu Kavali, Telugu, where at the age of 15 she played as a housewife. This film was a flop, but it helped charmi get recognized by the film industry in South India. Kadhal Azhivathillai was her next release.
She was interested in a Malayalam film directed by Vinayan called Kattuchembakam during this period. Her comeback to Telugu films was rendered by Neeke Manasichhaanu and Sreekanth, and followed by another dramatic film Chanti, paired with Ravi Teja, in Sri Anjaneyam, directed by Krishna Vamsi.
She eventually had a big success with Gowri in Telugu in which she was partnered with Sumanth. charmi again teamed with Ravi Teja with Ramgopal Verma in Dongala Mutha.
She appeared in 2012 in particular in films like Dhamarukam, Naayak and Yaare Koogadali. Then she starred in Hindi movies namely Zila Ghaziabad and R ... Rajkumar. Rajkumar.
And then She has appeared in Puri Jagannadh 's film Jyothy Lakshmi, the movie got huge success and also charmi's acting was marvelous. Her next film, Pratighatana, was her fiftieth film, in which she played a journalist.
She become producer and produced the film ismart Shankar and the movie got positive reviews from audience & critics and it was blockbuster hit at box office.
