Gamyam writer Gandham Nagaraju passed away

Critically acclaimed writer Gandham Nagaraju passed away this morning due to illness. He was 42. As per the reports, the writer was undergoing treatment for liver related disease at Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in Hyderabad.

Born and brought up in Narasaraopet, Gandham Nagaraju started his film career as a script writer with ‘President Perayya’ and wrote dialogues from many films like ‘Baanam’, ‘Inko Saari’, ‘Betting Bangarraju’ and ‘Gaayam 2’. This apart he also wrote the script for the award winning film ‘Sontha Vooru’ besides writing many prize winning stories, novels and plays as well. While he was serving as a Principal-in-charge at a college in Khammam, director Krish approached him for writing the dialogues for his critically acclaimed film ‘Gamyam’ with which the writer became very famous among the Telugu public.

Recently music director of ‘Gamyam’ Anil R also died due to heart attack at a very young age.
