'Telangana Devudu' postponed; Makers give reasons

'Telangana Devudu' is not releasing in theatres this April 23. After the imposition of night curfew in Telangana and the seating limit in Andhra Pradesh, the decision has been taken in step with the Telangana Theatre Owners Association closing down theatres till May 1.

Issuing a statement about the film's postponement, the makers of 'Telangana Devudu' said, "We have made the film to give a great experience to the audience. But since coronavirus cases are increasing by the day, we have decided to postpone the film. These are tough days when everyone has to save their own lives by observing covid protocols. We regard KCR garu as Telangana Devudu. He has tested positive. Everyone please stay safe."

Director Harish Padathya said, "We are very happy to have got to produce this movie. We want the film to be watched by the audience in both States. With the pandemic, it's not possible. So, we will announce a new date soon."
