'Savitri W/O Satyamurthy' starring Parvateesam, Sri Lakshmi launched

'Savitri W/O Satyamurthy' promises to be a quirky comedy entertainer where a young man marries a woman who is 35 years older than him. The former is played by 'Kerintha' comedian Parvateesam, while the latter is essayed by Sri Lakshmi, the talented female comedian of the 1980s.

Written and directed by debutant Chaithanya Konda, a Puri Jagannadh protege, the film will be full of laughs. Saying that his friend is the film's producer, the director said that 'Savitri W/O Satyamurthy' is about how a 25-year-old husband became the husband of a 60-something woman. He clarified that the film is a neat comedy. "It's a complete family entertainer that can be watched by everyone in the family. Parvateesam is best suited for the role. I chose him because I loved him in 'Kerintha'. Siva Reddy and Suman Shetty will be seen as his sons," the director added.

Producer Gogula Narendra revealed, "The Hyderabad schedule will go on for 25 days. A 20-day outdoor schedule is being planned. We will complete the filming in 45 days."

Actress Sri Lakshmi is kicked about playing a new kind of character after essaying a wide variety of roles over the decades. "I have never played such a character before. Parvateesam, who should be playing my son, is my husband in this film. It's funny," she said.

Music director SK Khuddus said that the film is his 19th movie and that it will give him a break. Gautham Raju, Siva Reddy, Ananth, Suman Shetty, Janardhan (Jenny), Subbaraya Sharma are part of the cast. Ashi Roy, Geetha Shah, Muskaan Arora are playing heroines. Cinematography is by Anand Dola.
