'Natyam', starring Kuchupudi exponent Sandhya Raju and directed by newcomer Revanth Korukonda, will hit the screens on October 22. After Ram Charan recently watched and endorsed the movie by attending its pre-release event, Megastar Chiranjeevi, too, has said that 'Natyam' is a well-meaning, aesthetic movie.

Speaking about the dance-based drama, the 'Acharya' star today said, "The movie made me feel good. Dance is an art form through which you can tell a story. Through this film, the director and Sandhya Raju have conveyed the true essence of classical dance. Dance is not about the movement of limbs alone. When we talk about movies such as 'Natyam', we are instantly reminded of K Viswanath garu's contributions. I think this film has been made with him as an inspiration. I appreciate young director Revanth for putting in the best effort."

The Megastar further added that our traditions and 'sampradayas' need to be highlighted through movies. "I whole-heartedly appreciate the effort put in by the team of 'Natyam'. Sandhya Raju comes from a prominent family. She has done this movie not for money but because of her passion for cinema," the 'Bholaa Shankar' actor added, hoping that the importance of classical dance will be realized by millions after watching the movie. On the occasion, he also recalled 'Shankarabharanam', the classic.

Sandhya Raju said, "Art can't be bought with money. It needs dedication and passion. I have dedicated my life to dance. I am glad to have got to meet with Chiranjeevi garu, who is a great dancer himself."

Director Revanth said that 'Natyam' is rooted in Telugu culture.
