'Ponniyin Selvan: I' is getting released in theatres on September 30. In a promotional interview, actor Jayam Ravi, who is playing the titular character in the epic period action drama, revealed that SS Rajamouli was literally shocked when he told something about what Mani Ratnam had pulled off.
Jayam Ravi recently told the 'RRR' maker that Mani had shot two parts of the epic movie in 150 working days. Although the film was in the making for three years, the shooting days were 150 in number.
The speed at which the project was pulled off made Rajamouli stand up involuntarily as a mark of respect, Ravi revealed. Rajamouli even said that he took five years to complete the 'Baahubali' movies.
'PS-I', co-starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi and others, is produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
