The success meet of '2018' was held in Hyderabad on Saturday. Mollywood hero Tovino Thomas was in attendance, besides the Telugu version's presenter, Bunny Vass.
Speaking on the occasion, producer SKN commented that content is strong in Malayalam movies. Talking about the film, he said that the ravaging floods of 2018 were moving. "At that time, the RR of 'Shailaja Reddy Alludu' was affected due to the floors. I can say that '2018' is a brilliantly-shot movie. Bunny Vass spots good movies and reserves them for his banner. In the case of '2018', he was more enthusiastic than ever before."
Actress Aparna Balamurali said that he was overwhelmed by the support that the film is receiving in the Telugu States. "I am very happy to be a part of this special movie, which is a tribute to real heroes," the actress, who played a TV reporter in the movie, said.
Producer Bunny Vass said, "I believe that the content of this movie will touch the human heart. I have produced up to 17 films in Telugu. But '2018' has added to my image in a special way. In the year 2018, our blockbuster 'Geetha Govindam' was released and we donated funds to Kerala, which was flood-ravaged. I urge Tovino Thomas to make a film in Telugu. If we support content films, more and more good films will come out. I thank Malayalam producers (Venu, Antony and Padma Kumar) on this occasion."
Director Jade Antony said, "I felt very happy when the media clapped for our movie at a recent screening. I thank the Telugu film industry for supporting our film. Producer Bunny garu contributed Rs 63 lakhs towards Kerala flood relief measures in 2018. Coincidentally, this movie has now been released by him in Telugu. He is a selfless person."
Hero Tovino Thomas said, "I came to Hyderabad for a college trip 13 years ago while studying in Coimbatore. Some of my dubbed movies are doing so well on Aha Video. I thank the audience for endowing us with an unexpected reception for '2018'. I will definitely see to it that my next movies are also dubbed in Telugu. Who doesn't want to receive your love? For many people, cinema is entertainment. For me, though, cinema is life."
