Payal Rajput suggests 'RX 100' has led to some negative results

In her latest interview, Payal Rajput acknowledged that debuting in Telugu with a negative role has indeed shown a few negative results. The 2018 movie 'RX 100' was a box-office hit, but since Payal played a femme fatale in it, she has since been typecast.

"When a girl plays a negative role, a certain kind of image perception takes over," Payal says, adding that 'RX 100' has had a troublesome impact to an extent.

That said, she is extremely proud of that film, and its director, Ajay Bhupathi, continues to be her good friend. "He is a friend, mentor and everything to me. When I bagged 'Mangalavaaram', my mother felt very happy that I would be working with Ajay yet again," the 'Disco Seenu' and 'Venky Mama' actress says.

'Mangalavaaram', also starring Nandita Swetha, Ajay Ghosh and others, hits the cinemas this November 17. Its paid premiers will be held on the evening of November 16 in Hyderabad and a few other locations. Payal believes that the film is going to be a turning point for her career.
