Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Former IAS officer files petition naming Pawan Kalyan

Former IAS officer Vijay Kumar has reportedly filed a petition in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh against actor-politician Pawan Kalyan. The petition alleges that the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh had used government funds for the promotion of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which was released in theatres in the last week of July. The historical period action drama starred Pawan in a heroic role.

"I request a CBI investigation into the matter," the petitioner added. Reportedly, the court has ordered the registry to include the names of CBI and ACB lawyers in the list.

Pawan Kalyan must have anticipated the politicization of his film career after he rose in the field of politics and became a governing elite. There is no evidence to say that public funds were used to promote Hari Hara Veera Mallu. At the time of writing, there was no statement from either PSPK or Jana Sena Party.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, directed by Jyothi Krishna and Krish Jagarlamudi, will head to OTT soon.
