OG actor Emraan Hashmi's serial kisser tag was a marketing gimmick

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi's first breakthrough role came in the 2004 erotic thriller Murder, which was a commercial success and earned him the nickname "serial kisser" due to the on-screen kissing scenes. In an interview a few years ago, he stated that his wife was uncomfortable with his erotic male star image.

Murder featured intimate and kissing scenes, which were considered bold and unconventional for mainstream Hindi cinema at the time. This image was further solidified by a series of films that followed, such as Zeher, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, and Aksar, all of which featured prominent kissing scenes.

Pawan Kalyan's OG is Emraan Hashmi's first major pan-Indian film. It is expected that his role in the Sujeeth directorial will be edgy. OG will hit the cinemas on September 25.
