Epic breaks the mould of screenplay and dialogue: Team

The Title Glimpse of Epic - First Semester was released on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the team emphasized the movie's strengths.

Anand Deverakonda said, "Before this film came my way, I watched 90's – A Middle Class Biopic on ETV Win. It was so relatable and fun. The little boy Aditya (Rohan Roy) from that web series grows up to be my character in Epic. Aditya is confused at some point in his early adulthood. His elders push him to pursue higher studies in London. He falls in love with a girl there. The songs, the romance, the love story are fun. Those who have had to emigrate out of India for studies/jobs will surely find many relatable aspects. Vaishnavi is a brilliant actor. Aditya Hasan and I have some commonalities. It's like seeing myself in him. Although the story is set in London, it will feel like a home setting. Questions like whether what he is experiencing is love or infatuation hog the mind of the male lead. The Telugu-dubbed version of Premalu had acclaimed dialogues (by Aditya Hasan). You are going to experience something similar with Epic. The magic of communal watching in a theatre will always stay. Nobody expected Little Hearts to become such a big hit. When you spend time watching short-form content for extended periods, it will result in brain fog. It's time to rediscover the fun of movie-watching on the big screen where we don't get to pause content."

Vaishnavi Chaitanya described the film as youthful. "In our life, we tend to move on from many moments. In Epic, the lead pair don't let any moment just pass. Aditya Hasan's point of view is the audience's."

Director Aditya Hasan is basking in the success of Little Hearts, his debut production. He iterated his conviction in narrating stories that don't need a cinematic conflict plot point or event. The filmmaker will be making a series of movies that reflect the different stages of student/professional lives. They will be detailed in nature. "You will see in Epic the same family that you saw in 90's. Our film breaks the mould in terms of the screenplay and dialogue," he added.

Producer S Naga Vamsi said that he has been a fan of rom-coms. "I am a big fan of Ye Maya Chesave. Incidentally, I am currently making two movies set in foreign countries (VISA being the other one). Both are rom-coms. In the first half of 2026, I will have a movie release every month. I am doing everything to stave off criticism and trolling this time. I will be making a start with a comedy entertainer like Anaganana Oka Raju for Sankranthi," the Sithara Entertainments supremo said.
