Saiyaara, the romantic Hindi film featuring two complete newcomers, has made a remarkable splash at the box office even before its release, crossing the 1 lakh mark in advance bookings at national cinema chains. The outstanding trend indicates a strong opening for the film.
As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, as of Thursday (8 AM), the total tickets sold at national chains stand at an impressive 1,05,000. This includes 78,000 tickets at PVR and INOX, and 27,000 at Cinepolis. The advance sales for Saiyaara have already surpassed the figures of Housefull 5 at national chains. Industry experts are closely watching as the film is now on track to overtake the advance booking numbers of Salman Khan's Sikandar very soon.
Saiyaara is directed by Mohit Suri. The film's debutant actors, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, are expecting a musical hit. The film has cinematography by Vikas Sivaraman. Sankalp Sadanah has penned the story and screenplay.
Saiyaara, whose Trailer was released recently, will head to theatres on July 18.
