The makers of Peddi today unveiled the first-look of Janhvi Kapoor from their movie. She plays a village belle named Achiyyamma, the "fierce and fearless" diva of the small world. "Our Peddi's love with a firebrand attitude," Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings stated.
In an interview earlier this year, the Devara actress mentioned she is having a "blast" doing Peddi and that her character is "very different and interesting." She also said that she "doesn't feel like a conventional heroine" in the multi-lingual release. Janhvi praised the director, Buchi Babu Sana, calling him a "rooted director" with a "great vision."
The film's glimpse was released in April. "The biggest battle you will ever take up is the fight for who you are, the fight for your identity," the makers of Ram Charan's Peddi mentioned on social media, unveiling the First Shot.
Peddi has music by AR Rahman. Rathnavelu and Navin Nooli, respectively, are Peddi's cinematographer and editor. Peddi will head to theatres on March 27, 2026.
