Garikapati Narasimha Rao, the prominent Hindu preacher, scholar, literateur, and avadhani, has a film reccomendation. In a recent sermon, he endorsed 8 Vasantalu, directed by Phanindra Narsetti. Starring Ananthika Sanilkumar, Hanu Reddy, Ravi Theja Duggirala, Kanna Pasunoori and others, its music is by Hesham Abdul Wahab.
"If you want to understand the true meaning of love, watch 8 Vasantalu. Love is not about carnal pleasures, or flattering each other. True lovers wish for the well-being of the other person no matter what," Garikapati said in a video clip shared by Mythri Movie Makers, which thanked him for endorsing their movie. "Thank you Padma Shri #GarikipatiNarasimhaRao Garu for your great words about 8 Vasantalu. An eminent personality like you talking about our film is an honour," he wrote.
Incidentally, Garikapati has previously criticized another Mythri Movie Makers movie: Pushpa: The Rise. In an interview post the announcement of Padma Shri in 2022, Garikapati opined that Allu Arjun's Pushpa Raj glamourizes criminality and therefore the movie deserves condemnation.
