Film Critics Association, which has been in existence for five decades, met with the new MAA President Manchu Vishnu and felicitated him for winning the MAA elections, which were held on October 10. Senior journalist Lakshman Rao, President A Prabhu, Secretary P Rambabu, former President Suresh Kondeti, MAA General Secretary Siva Balaji, FCA's Executive Committee members Abdul, Mallikarjun, Jilla Suresh, Kumar, Veerni Srinivas, Naveen and Murali were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, FCA President A Prabhu said, "We are happy to felicitate Manch Vishnu garu today on his victory. Our Association has had a great tradition of acting as a bridge between the film industry and others. When Akkineni Nageshwara Rao garu completed 60 years, he sought recognition from our Association as a mark of honour. Such is the history of FCA. This is our first felicitation of Vishnu garu. We wish that he attains many successes at MAA and in the film industry as an actor. We hope that his dynamic leadership helps the welfare of the 900 members who are a part of the MAA. We are confident that he raises the prestige of MAA by taking up several measures."

Manchu Vishnu said, "I thank the FCA for this felicitation. I have known Prabhu garu for many years and he has grown as a journalist and a PRO. I have known some of these individuals since my childhood. It feels great to be felicitated by them today. We all belong to one community: the cinema community. The Telugu cine media has been highly responsible. The film journalists have always been cooperative. So far, my father has received many honours. I am proud of him and I am proud that it's my turn to be felicitated this way." Vishnu said that thumbnails that have been used by gossip-mongers on YouTube are sometimes nasty. Action will be initiated against them, he said.

MAA Treasurer Siva Balaji said, "We are happy that FCA has felicitated the new MAA President. It's essential to regulate the problematic YouTube thumbnails that target actresses."
