Tharun Bhascker's crime comedy 'Keedaa Cola' is speculated to be a genre-defying outing. In the past few days, a handful of characters from the movie have been introduced through appealing posters. Legendary comedian Brahmanandam is one of the major actors.

On Friday, it was revealed that the film's director himself is playing a key role. The 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' director will be seen as a gangster in this soon-to-be-released movie. Tharun has previously acted in many movies, particularly 'Falaknuma Das'.

"Writing and playing this character was transformative for me in every sense. Strip off the fear, the greed, the desire for power and the need for validation in a man - You have Naidu. Writing. Check. Direction. Check. Acting theta - Double check. For me, Naidu is vengeance," wrote the filmmaker, sharing his point of view.

Produced by VG Sainma, the film's teaser will be out on June 28.

Edited by Upendra Varma and shot by cinematographer AJ Aaron, the film has art direction by Ashish Teja Pulala.
