Mohan Babu's 'Kannappa' look has come as a shocker. The senior actor is playing Mahadeva Shastri in the film. Unless you read the promotional text and the title logo, it would be hard to figure out that the poster belongs to an alleged magnum opus that has been made on a humongous budget and scale. You can be forgiven for believing that the poster was released by director Gunasekhar from his nightmarish 'Shaakuntalam'. The quality and aesthetics are ridiculous and at the level of a TV serial.
'Kannappa' will need the lucre of its most important cameo to register decent openings. Manchu Vishnu is relying heavily on the cameo by Prabhas.
The rest of the cameos (the ones done by Nayanthara, Akshay Kumar and Mohanlal) in 'Kannappa' won't matter anything for the Telugu audience. 'Kannappa' is also struggling to find the right release date. With Christmas already packed, its release this year is ruled out. Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu must pull up their socks!
