Worker wages: Active Producers Guild makes a proposal

Members of the Active Producers Guild have given the green light to a 15% increase in the first year, 5% in the second year, and 5% in the third year for workers earning Rs 2000 or less per day. They are willing to increase wages by 20% in the first year, 0% in the second year, and 5% in the third year for workers earning Rs 1000 or less per day. The proposal comes in the wake of the ongoing workers strike in Tollywood.

However, TFCC Secretary Damodar Prasad stated that producers would agree to this wage increase only if the Film Federation accepts the conditions already set by the producers.

TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, S Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments, Yerneni Naveen of Mythri Movie Makers, Sudhakar Cherukuri, Radha Mohan, Sahu Garapati of Shine Screens, SKN, Bapineedu, Cherry, and others attended the media conference.
