"Curiosity drives people, sometimes it drives them too far. That is the core of Nayanam," says director Swathi Prakash Mantripragada, talking about her upcoming ZEE5 series, which makes its debut on December 19th.

The trailer for the series was launched today. Speaking on the occasion, lead actor Varun Sandesh, who plays a morally grey character, said that he was shocked upon listening to the story. He eagerly waits to see how the viewers are going to receive it.

Music director Ajay Arasada knew that he had to "respond" to the characters and their innermost feelings while composing the score for Nayanam. "What you are going to see in Nayanam is unlike what you have seen before in the Telugu streaming space. I have lived up to the novelty of the content," he added.

Editor Venkata Krishna ensured that the pacing and cuts transported the viewer into the minds of the main characters. Since the story has a strong psychological element, he knew that the mystery and urgency were reflected by the edit. Cinematographer Shoaib Siddiqui is another technician who knew the "unsettling" nature of the pacing. He ensured that the visual language was "grounded, eerie, yet emotionally readable".

Actor Ali Reza of Bigg Boss fame plays a cop and the emotional weight of his character feels authentic in the trailer. The script and his character satisfied the actor in him. "This series reminded me why I became an actor twenty years ago," he added.

Jayanth Raghavan, the Senior Vice President of OAP & Commissioning Zee Telugu & Telugu Zee5, stated that director Swathi's story narration instantly revealed its quality, and he talked of ZEE5's commitment to setting new benchmarks, calling Nayanam one of those rare scripts that immediately signals its potential. Echoing this, Saiteja Desiraju, Vice President of Telugu Original Content for Telugu ZEE5, announced that they were closing the year with two strong originals, including Nayanam, which he said brings a point Telugu audiences haven’t experienced on OTT; he also praised the SRT team (the production house), saying they delivered exactly what the script deserved. Finally, Anuradha Gudur, Chief Content Officer & Business Head of Telugu ZEE5, shared her platform's trust in the story, noting Swathi's infectious passion and asserting that psychological thrillers of this flavor are rare in Telugu, with the performances being outstanding and the SRT team having delivered a sharp piece of work.

Executive Producer Vidyasagar highlighted the key contributions, saying that SRT always supported new talent. He further stated that Varun had come into the project at a moment when they needed someone reliable, and that he truly felt like someone sent by the universe. Producer Rajini Talluri mentioned that Nayanam was their third project with ZEE5. She elaborated that they had brought back the same music director, same cinematographer, and same creative synergy, and that it showed.
