Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor is not involved in the inheritance dispute over her late ex-husband Sunjay Kapur's Rs 30,000 crore estate. Sunjay Kapur, the former chairman of Sona Comstar, passed away on June 12 due to a cardiac arrest.
Sources close to the Kapur family have confirmed that Karishma is not seeking any share of the estate, and her primary concern is the well-being of her children, Samaira and Kiaan, who are recognized as the rightful heirs to their father’s estate.
As part of the divorce settlement, in 2016, Karisma reportedly received a significant amount as alimony. This included Sunjay's father's house in Khar being transferred to her name, and Sunjay purchasing bonds worth Rs 14 crore for their children. Karishma's father, Randhir Kapoor, had publicly expressed his disapproval of the marriage from the beginning, stating that his family did not need Sunjay's money and that Sunjay never cared for his wife.
