A recent online discussion on X has ignited a debate among film enthusiasts regarding the box office success of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Jawan. The query, asking followers to name the most undeserving film to breach the coveted Rs 1000 crore mark, saw numerous responses highlighting these two blockbusters.

While both films, released in 2023, achieved phenomenal commercial success, crossing Rs 1,050 crore and Rs 1,148 crore worldwide respectively, some netizens expressed the opinion that their content did not warrant such massive earnings. The action-thrillers, despite their star power and extensive marketing, faced criticism from a section of the audience who deemed them average in terms of narrative and execution.

Interestingly, many netizens also named Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule as the most undeserving one. "How did the movie earn so much with its low-end content? It had no story. Only the songs and Allu Arjun saved it from tanking," a movie buff wrote.

It is interesting that most netizens see two of the biggest Bollywood hits as undeserving. Ranbir Kapoor's Animal inched closer to entering the Rs 1000 Cr club.
