Dashamakan is the title of Kollywood actor Harish Kalyan's upcoming action drama set in an urban background. Its Title Unlocked glimpse video is pretty impressive. A bunch of henchmen storm into a narrow street to nab the protagonist. They follow him to a ramshackle washroom, believing that they will get to corner him and do their boss' bidding in no time. Much to their shock, they discover that their target trapped them into that place. And now that they are cooped up inside it, they have no escape. A trendy rap song is a highlight, particularly because it adheres to the male lead's musical character.
"The hero lives two lives. One of them is that of a performer, while the other one involves instinctive violence," the makers say.
Preity Mukhundhan, who was seen as the female lead in Kannappa, plays the female lead. The versatile Sathyaraj and Sunil have supporting roles.
The emotional drive of the narrative is set by Britto Michael's score. Cinematographer Karthik Ashokan lends the film a tight, grounded visual palette, while G. Madan's editing enhances the overall rhythm and immediacy.
Written and directed by Vineeth Varaprasad, the film's art direction is by Manimozhian Ramadurai. Om Prakash, Dinesh Subbarayan have taken care of the stunt choreography. Dashamakan is produced by IDAA Productions and Think Studios.
