After a successful thriller like '118', Kalyan Ram has teamed up with National award winning film director Satish Vegesna of 'Shathamanam Bhavati' for the family entertainer, 'Entha Manchivaadavuraa'. Has the Nandamuri actor started the new year with a hit? Read our review.

After a personal loss in his childhood, an orphaned Balu (Kalyan Ram) starts valuing relationships. He believes that "What goes around comes around". He goes by different names and starts providing emotional support to people in need of a shoulder to cry on by becoming a son, grandson, nephew etc. Along with his childhood friend Nandini (Mehreen), he starts an organization named 'All Is Well Emotional Services', which supplies persons, who act as family members for lonely people. Eventually, Balu gets into some problems as he locks horns with a sand mafia led by Gangaraju (Rajeev Kanakala) when he is acting as a son to a terminally ill, lonely father (Tanikella Bharani). How Balu sorts out all the issues and builds an extended family for himself is what the rest of the film all about.

For the first time, Kalyan Ram has acted in a full-fledged family entertainer and his performance is very good. He emotes well. Mehreen gets a meaty role and she performs very well in the emotional scenes. Seasoned actors like Vijay Kumar, Annapurnamma, Sharat Babu, Suhasini, Tanikella Bharani, Naresh and others are good as always. Vennela Kishore provides comic relief amidst the emotional scenes. The casting has been good.

Technical aspects

Gopi Sunder's songs are good. 'Emo Emo Ye Gundello' bit song has been used well by the director during emotional scenes. The cinematography is very good. The beauty of Munnar and Konaseema was captured well.

Plus Points

Family Emotions

Minus Points

Slow Narration
Run-of-the-mill concept

After 'Shathamanam Bhavathi' and 'Srinivasa Kalyanam', director Satish Vegesna hasn't tried to break the mold and once again makes a family entertainer though he tried to infuse some action elements into the script. The family emotions are dealt well and the film has some very good moments. But the narration is slow and reminds us of Satish Vegesna's previous movies. Much emphasis is on sentiment and some sections of audiences may not like it. It's a different attempt by Kalyan Ram though, considering his action image.

All in all, 'Entha Manchivaadavuraa' is a movie only for family audiences.
