The pre-release event of 'Pushpaka Vimanam' was held in Vizag on Sunday. The film, which will head to the theatres on November 12, stars Anand Deverakonda in the lead and is produced by Vijay Deverakonda and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Anand spoke of his character in the movie. "I am a disciplined and honest person in the movie. My name is Chittilanka Sundar, a government Maths teacher. He gets married with a lot of dreams. His dreams fall apart when his wife elopes. There is a subtle message about marriage in our movie, which begins with a positive song on wedding. The project was first planned to be a small concept movie. With Vijay entering the production side, the scale went up. I am not a conventional hero in the movie," the 'Middle Class Melodies' actor said.

Anand emotionally recalled that his father had the dream to become an actor 35 years ago but couldn't. "He derives joy by watching us (me and Vijay) on TV today. Vijay was not interested in studies. My father would encourage him to attend acting workshops. My parents are behind our success today," Anand noted.

Anand further recalled how it all began for him as an actor. "When I told my brother that I want to become an actor, he thought I was playing a prank. He told me to do my hard work and not fall back on him. He told me not to take the pressure. Opportunities don't usually come your way. But, thanks to my brother, it has been a bit easy for me because he has broken a lot of obstacles for me. Thanks to 'Pelli Choopulu', a new way of cinema was kickstarted in Telugu cinema. I hope 'Pushpaka Vimanam' is another new-wave movie," Anand added.
