'Lily' is the title of an upcoming pan-India children's film coming from Telugu. Produced by K Babu Reddy and G Satish Kumar, the film has Neha, Vedant Varma and Pranitha Reddy in lead roles. Its trailer was released today.
Speaking at the trailer launch event today, Dil Raju began his speech by thanking senior artist Shiva Krishna. "I like your films 'Aadapaduchu' and 'Anaadiga Aadadi'. Those films boasted high family values. When I am emotional, I hum songs from those movies. I have always remembered them since childhood. I love 'Little Soldiers' and 'Anjali' among children's movies. It was I who released 'Sisindri' in Nizam. The audience will always encourage well-made children's films. I am inspired to say, after watching the trailer, that 'Lily' will stand out for its content," the Sri Venkateswara Creations supremo said.
He added, "The kids who have acted in this movie seem to have no stage fear. They are speaking fearlessly on stage."
'Anjali', a film by renowned director Mani Ratnam, has served as the inspiration behind 'Lily', a movie that explores the relationships between schoolchildren. The trailer for the film shows a young girl standing up to her bullies, while also showcasing the bonds of friendship that develop among the students. As the story unfolds, financial struggles faced by one of Lily's parents put the titular character in a difficult situation.
With music by Anto Francis and cinematography by YS Rajkumar, the film's VFX has been done by ARKWRX.
