Sampoornesh Babu: Violent role in The Paradise could be a turning point

What films like Martin Luther King and Sodhaara have failed to do to his career, Nani's The Paradise could well make the difference. As Biryani, Sampoornesh Babu will be seen as the hero's loyal friend. "Jadal's closest friend and the epitome of loyalty," the makers wrote.

The poster shows the Hrudaya Kaleyam actor in a wounded avatar. Since his breakout film more than ten years ago, Sampoo has come a long way. He hopes that The Paradise will be a game-changer. "Sampoornesh Babu won't be FUNNY anymore," wrote director Srikanth Odela.

Last year, Sampoornesh profusely thanked director-writer-producer Sai Rajesh for reshaping his acting career by casting him in Hrudaya Kaleyam. "I come from a small village. Born as Narasimha Chari, I metamorphosed on the silver screen into Sampoornesh Babu, thanks to Rajesh anna. There was a time when the maximum I could dream of was owning a car. Thanks to Sai Rajesh anna, I have afforded flight travel. It has been eleven years since Hrudaya Kaleyam hit the cinemas. To this day, the audience talk about it with fondness," the comedy hero said.
