The pre-release event of 'Kapatadhaari' was held earlier this week. Speaking on the occasion, King Nagarjuna wished the team of the Sumanth-starrer all the best and hoped that it will be accepted by the audience.

Nagarjuna said, "I have heard about 'Kapatadhaari'. This is the remake of a Kannada hit. Sumanth is very confident because the Telugu version has come out really well. If the film becomes a big hit on February 19, we all will be quite happy. During the pandemic, there was this fear that the audience may not watch movies in theatres. The performance of the Sankranthi movies has removed those fears." The 'Wild Dog' actor wished Sumanth, director Pradeep Krishnamoorthy and producer G Dhananjayan all the best.

Adivi Sesh, another guest for the occasion, said that Sumanth is a good friend. "The trailer, teaser and songs are really good. When 'Goodachari' released, Nagarjuna garu supported our movie even though 'Chi La Sow', his production, was playing in theatres," Sesh added.

Sumanth said, "I have never shied away from playing different roles. I don't bother about failure. My 'china mavayya' is my inspiration. He is the one actor who has tried all genres in Tollywood. 'Kapatadhaari' is a distinct film. It was supposed to release months ago. But due to the pandemic, it got postponed. 'Kapatadhaari', as a subject, has proved itself in two languages. We are confident."

Producer Dhananjayan said, "The Telugu remake was a big challenge when it was conceived. Writer Bashyasri has helped a lot in adapting the film. Sumanth's involvement has helped make the end product so exciting."
