Mass Jathara was released in theatres on Friday evening with premieres in the Telugu States and overseas. The Ravi Teja-starring mass action entertainer opened to Rs 5 Cr (Gross) worldwide.

The film, written and directed by newcomer Bhanu Bhogavarapu, has music by Bheems Ceciroleo. Naveen Chandra plays Sivudu, a Sheelavathi Ganja smuggler who rules the roost in an Uttarandhra village. Also featuring Ajay Ghosh, Samuthirakani, Murali Sharma, Hyper Aadi and VK Naresh, Sreeleela (as a school teacher with a secret life) is its heroine. Venkat and Prithvi composed the fights. Mass Jathara also has Praveen and Pushpa 2 fame Tarak Ponnappa in different roles. Nandu Savirigana is its dialogue writer.
