Subhash (Vishal) is an Army Man. He is the son of Andhra Pradesh's chief minister. Subhash's father announces his elder son (Ramki) as his political heir ahead of the upcoming election. It's a happy family. But tragedy strikes as Subhash's fiancee (Aishwarya Lekshmi), brother and a potential prime minister die due to an explosion at a public meeting and the events that ensue. What saddens Subhash more is his family is accused of doing all these for political gains. Along with his colleague (Tamannaah), Subhash sets out to find who is behind the explosion and finds out that finds out that an international terrorist Mallik (Kabir Duhan Singh) is behind it. How Subhash nabs him is what the rest of the story all about.
Vishal is perfect as an army man and a family man. He pulls off action sequences with ease. Tamannaah as Vishal's colleague does a fine job. Ramki gets a small but significant role. Aishwarya Lekshmi looks cute and her romantic track with Vishal is short but beautiful. Aakanksha Puri, Sayaji Shinde, Kabir Duhan Singh and every actor is perfect in their respective role.
The action sequences are choreographed well. The camera work, the background score, the editing and everything about the film is perfect and make it a slick action entertainer.
Predictable some times
'Action' is a very good film for action movie lovers. The film is mostly engaging, though it is predictable at times and some cinematic liberties were taken by director Sundar C. The action sequences are very well choreographed and Vishal pulls them off well. The director wastes no time in getting into the actual story. Though the film's run-time is 150 minutes it doesn't seem lengthy.
On the whole, 'Action' is an engaging action thriller.
