Natural Star Nani has confirmed that Bloody Romeo, to be directed by Sujeeth, is not an "extremely violent" film. This puts an end to the speculation that Sujeeth would be repeating his OG-style gimmicks.
On his part, Nani seems to know that moderation helps. HIT 3 was violent. The Paradise was hyper-violent, senselessly so. The former clicked at the box-office owing to its coherent narrative. The Paradise collected much more in absolute terms, but ended up being a disaster in all non-Nizam territories.
The audience want to watch style, swagger and violence. They want action, and even bloodshed. But they shouldn't be too in-your-face. Nani and Sujeeth have got the memo. Bloody Romeo, to be released in theatres in late 2027, is going to be violent but with a "twist". As per the actor, it's a genre that we haven't seen before. The rumour is that the male lead is a classy, witty chef in the movie. Preity Mukundan of Kannappa fame is likely going to play a major role in it.
