Fifty three days since its release, the devotional biopic Hanuman Ansh has entered the Rs 400-Cr club (worldwide figure). At the Indian box-office, it earned Rs 365 Cr, while the net figure stands at 309 Cr. The rest of the collections came from overseas markets.

The film, made on a reported budget of Rs 2 Cr with no major stars or significant pre-release promotion, opened on August 7, to roughly Rs 10 lakh on Day 1. It collected about Rs 1.08 Cr in Week 1 and collapsed further to Rs 40–50 lakh in Week 2 (shrinking to as few as 40 screens). From Week 3 onward it surged dramatically via audience recommendations, eventually crossing four billion rupees.
What happened to Telugu release?
Trivikram Srinivas' Fortune Four Cinemas voluntarily withdrew the Telugu version's release plans because the producer of Hanuman Ansh allegedly changed the terms at the last minute. As of now, a Telugu release is not in sight.
What next from Hanuman Ansh makers?
Writer-director Vishal Chaturvedi and Mahaveer Jain Films have announced their next project titled Rambola, which will chronicle the life, devotion, and literary legacy of Mahakavi Goswami Tulsidas, one of the most revered poets in the northern part of India. Rambola Dubey is his original name. Rambola aims to capture Tulsidas's journey from his early days to his lasting influence on devotional literature. The saint is best known as the author of the Hanuman Chalisa and of Ramcharitmanas.
