Baahubali: The Eternal War, the two-part animation film whose first part is set to hit the big screens in 2027, is being made on a mammoth budget of Rs 120 Cr (just the first part, probably). This one is directed by Ishan Shukla.
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda has reconfirmed that Prabhas will be dubbing for his character, Amarendra Baahubali, in the Telugu versions of the duology.
"It's a different kind of animation right from the conception stage. It's a very exciting process. Nobody has done animation on this scale," Yarlagadda added, suggesting that the big-scale release will be onto something.
Baahubali: The Eternal War is Ishan Shukla's version of the continuation of the world of Baahubali. Unlike a 2D animation film, this 3D format will be "very, very high-end". What happens in the hereafter post Amarendra's death is what the film is going to explore. He will be at war with Lord Indra.
