Deepti Reddy is the wife of Tollywood filmmaker Pradeep Madugula, who has previously directed Advaitham, Billa Ranga, Maine Pyar Kiya, and Champion. His wife, Deepti Reddy, an entrepreneur, has been declared brain dead. She was hospitalised last week following an acute medical emergency. In the aftermath of this devastating development, her family members chose to honour her wishes and consented to donate her organs.
With backing from the Virat Foundation, medical teams have initiated the required formalities through Jeevandan to facilitate the donation process.
Family's Gesture Draws Praise from Virat Foundation
Virat Foundation President Yash Veeragoni revealed that Deepti had formally pledged to donate her organs on June 18. She was also recognised for founding the We Aim Foundation, through which she contributed meaningfully to social causes. This was her charity work beyond her regular business pursuits.
Veeragoni commended the family's resolve to uphold her wishes despite the emotionally taxing circumstances. "This represents a profound and painful setback for the family. Even so, their willingness to give others a chance at life during such a trying period deserves genuine recognition. Deepti Reddy's family has set a powerful example for society through their support of organ donation," he stated.
The Virat Foundation further urged the public to build stronger awareness around organ donation and called on more individuals to step forward in support of this vital cause.
