Audio Review of Sasirekha Parinayam

Tarun-Genelia starring ‘Sasirekha Parinayam’ under Krishna Vamsi’s direction is all set to entertain the audience for this New Year. The music composed by Mani Sharma was released recently. Lyrics for all the songs in the film except one, is by Anantha Sriram and the one left out is by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. Rahul Nambiar, Jai, Ranjith, Saindhavi, Reta, Naveen and Chitra lent their voice.
Elaa Entha Sepu Music: Manisharma Lyrics: Sirivennela Singer: Rahul Nambiar
This song from Mani Sharma’s library is a typical one with his own brand where all his favourite instruments have been deliciously used. An apt song for long drives contains a bit of chorus mixed with the desired smoothness. The song depicting the deep love of the hero for heroine will lead anyone into romantic mood.
Gundello Golisoda Music: Manisharma Lyrics: Anantha Sriram Singer: Jai
Gundello Golisoda is an item song included just to attract the masses. It has become a style now a days to use a few English words amidst the songs. Here again there has been liberal use of English words. Whether the audience understands the meaning and purpose of it in an item song is a big question.
O Bujjamma Music: Manisharma Lyrics: Anantha Sriram Singer: Ranjith
’O Bujjamma’ is a fast song with good beats. English words usage here has probably added value to the song which gives a feel that the song would look good on silver screen. The music for this song looks to be very familiar. Therefore the presentation and picturisation has to add value to this song.
Yedho Yedho Music: Manisharma Lyrics: Anantha Sriram Singer: Saindhavi
This song which is very light gives a perfect soothening feeling. It appears the song is based on certain unpleasant situation the heroine undergoes. The lyrics by Anantha Sriram is well presented by the voice of Saindhavi in this solo song. Mani Sharma’s light instruments add value.
Bejawada Music: Manisharma Lyrics: Anantha Sriram Singer: Naveen, Reta
This hip shaking song with catchy lyrics and good beats not only appease the mass but also the class, particularly the youth. Naveen and Reta’s energetic voice stand tall. Mani Sharma used the instruments with a mix of western and folk touch.
Yedho Yedho Music: Manisharma Lyrics: Sirivennela Singer: Naveen, Reta
This is yet another solo song of heroine when in a romantic mood. This number is the repetitive of the solo ‘Yedho Yedho’. This song depicts the feeling of Sasirekha’s love for the hero. Saindhavi’s voice is impeccable. This song is sure to be the best number for the female singers in the singing competition and it is my pick.
Ninne Ninne Music: Manisharma Lyrics: Sirivennela Singer: Chitra
The song starts off with the classical instruments like flute, tabala and veena and the chorus voice depicts the Telugu nativity and also reminds us of the songs in 80s. Mani Sharma composed this song in a traditional style using only Indian classical instruments. Mani Sharma tried this number differently from his usual style which is impressive. Krishna Vamsi’s stamp is apparent in this number ‘Ninne Ninne’.
Though Mani Sharma had not tried anything new his usual style itself carries enough value. The songs ‘Yedho Yedho’ (both happy and sad versions) and ‘Elaa Entha Sepu’ are pretty impressive which stand exclusive among others.
