100% Love - 100% for the youth

We are aware of the musical hits like ‘Arya’ and ‘Arya 2’ in Sukumar-Devisri Prasad combination. So Devisri Prasad tried another hand for Sukumar’s latest venture, a bubbly fresh romance ‘100% Love’, starring Naga Chaitanya and Tamanna under Geeta Arts banner. The album appears to be different in one way. Hence expectations naturally abound, as a result let’s check their latest musical offering.
Infatuation Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Chandrabose Singer: Adnan Sami
This is a song of true infatuation written by Chandra Bose in reference to infatuation between two teenagers. Synchronization is no doubt impressive, especially the additional sounds of clapping rhythmic patterns. But Adnan Sami’s pronunciation of Telugu words is not appropriate, thus the track disappointed me. This song is mainly aimed at youngsters. On the flip side, the song ‘Kallu kallu plussu, Vaallu veellu minus, Vollu vollu into chesethi equation, Ila ila unte equal to infatuation’, will definitely mislead the youth down to a wrong path.
Thiru Thiru Gananadha Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Harini
Next comes ‘Thiru Thiru Gananadha’, which is a playful solo number sung by Harini. In this light-hearted song, Harini gets to show off her classical skill in humorous style. Ramajogayya’s lyrical ideas are fresh, comedic and playful. His sense of humor makes its presence felt in this song. Devisri presented the track with a semi-classical tune mixing humor to his style of music. Enjoy!!!
Aho Balu Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Shree Mani Singer: Ranjith, Sri Charan
‘Aho Balu’ describes about the charm of college life. Shree Mani’s lyrics tell the desire of a college boy to have the carefree and fun lifestyle. Devisri Prasad had used Ranjath and Sri Charan effectively in this genre. The rhythmic sound made me dance and repeat the lines ‘Aho Balu…Oho Balu’ with enthusiasm. The rock arrangement with the clapping beats will give the listener pleasure and joy. So guys, if you miss this song, you will miss all the fun.
A Square B Square (Male) Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Shree Mani Singer: Devi Sri Prasad
The song “A Square B Square….A+B whole square…Tom & Jerry War ki, ye time ayina don’t care”, is very creative, mathematical and extremely funny. This interestingly layered youthful pop in a different flavor is quite fresh. Devisri’s work is consistently compelling. He impresses us with his ability to inject artful production. Shree Mani’s lyrics are funky, witty and skillful as well. Just listen and enjoy!!!
Dhooram Dhooram Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Chandrabose Singer: Tippu
‘Dhooram dhooram dhooram…theeram lEni dhooram’ are anguished lyrics of loneliness written by Chandra Bose. This song is perhaps good and exemplifies the depth in song writing. Tippu’s vocal style is flowing with a great band behind the voice. Through his delicate delivery, he makes it more beautiful. The lyrics and music added high quality to the track.
A Square B Square (Female) Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Shree Mani Singer: Swathi
We normally find atleast one track being repeated in Devisri’s albums. But the interesting part in this repeat version is Colors Swathi’s cute voice singing about ‘A Square B Square, A+B wholesquare”. Her voice is as sweet as crystal clear waters. She is pretty flexible and sang as a lovely pussycat. Being one of the few multi-talented girls, she allows fans to hear to her vocal abilities too. Swathi, undoubtedly you Rock!
That is Mahalakshmi Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Shree Mani, Dev Singer: Richard, Dev
‘That is Mahalakshmi’ is also a cool, jazzy number sung by Richard and Dev. Besides singing, Dev assisted Shree Mani in penning the lyrics. The energy in the singers’ voices definitely adds to a charm which will translate on the big screen via Naga Chaitanya’s new trendy looks.
Diyalo Diyalo Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Chandrabose Singer: Priya Hemesh, Murali
So finally Devisri ends this album with mass masala song. Although ‘Diyalo Diyalo’ is something similar to ‘Ringa Ringa’, this folk oriented song becomes all more special because of catchy lyrics, amazing drum beats, Priya Hemesh’s powerful husky voice. Here, Priya Hemesh needs a special mention. She is one of the most promising singers and the way she modulates her tone is quite praiseworthy. Devi used her effectively in this genre. She had earlier won Filmfare award for her vocals ‘Ringa Ringa’ in ‘Arya 2’. Another interesting aspect of this song is that Chandra Bose, who penned lyrics for ‘Ringa Ringa’, has written this song as well. Repetition is what makes a song catchy. And Chandra Bose knows how to write the catchy chords, thus he used ‘Ringa Ringa’ in ‘Arya 2’ and ‘Diyalo Diyala’ in ‘100% Love’. Priya was well supported by Murali. His effortless rendering of lines lifted the song to another level altogether.
This album tells that Devisri is remarkably creative, funny and very much in love with music. The duo, Sukumar-Devisri certainly knows the pulse of the urban youth and this album is yet another great attempt to grab the attention of the target audience. This ‘100% Love’ is 100% for the youth.
