Ritika Nayak continues her perfect run, but that's not enough

Ritika Nayak has delivered a flawless record in Telugu films, industry observers are saying after the theatrical release of Korean Kanakaraju. The Varun Tej-starrer is her latest hit at the BO.

Her journey includes the successful Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, in which she romanced Vishwak Sen in a 'trump card'-type role. She also appeared in a cameo in Natural Star Nani's Hi Nanna, which otherwise was Mrunal Thakur's forte. Next came Teja Sajja's Mirai, a fantasy superhero-type visual spectacle. This is an unbroken track record.

That said, Ritika Nayak’s perfect record stands only as a strong start in the competitive Telugu film industry more than three years after her acting debut. In Telugu cinema, initial success opens doors quickly. Lasting success depends on carrying films with more weight, choosing diverse genres, and securing meaty roles in today's scenario. Her initial phase has been smooth and sound. The next phase will determine whether she transitions from a reliable cast member into a star heroine.
