Today, what began with a banger ended in a whimper, with RGV announcing the name of the heroic cop at the centre of the story: Harshvardhan Rane, whom the Telugu audience know as the actor of Avunu (2012) and Prema Ishq Kaadhal (2013). He has also acted in Anaamika (2014) and Maaya (2014), among other Telugu movies. In Hindi, he has done the romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam (2016), Bejoy Nambiar's Taish (2020), Haseen Dillruba (2021), Tara vs Bilal (2022), and Savi (2024).
